The Toubu (Tebu, Toubou) are a Saharan cultural group within the current political boundaries of Chad, Niger and Libya. The dagger handle and finial is covered in hand-tooled leather and snakeskin in the traditional black and red tribal colours. The double-edged steel blade has engraved marks on both sides (please see pics). The dagger comes with it's original hand-tooled leather sheath. In excellent antique condition.
