The firm of William Rodgers was established in 1830 and appears to have ceased trading in the 1870s.The firm used the trade mark I cut my way with an image of a mincing knife (An Ulu An inuit skinning knife). According to research John Clark took over the trade mark I cut my way and the William Rodgers name in 1911. In 1980 the Egginton Group took over the I cut my way mark.
