Antique Set Of William Rodgers Bone Handle Knives In Original Box

The firm of William Rodgers was established in 1830 and appears to have ceased trading in the 1870s.The firm used the trade mark I cut my way with an image of a mincing knife (An Ulu An inuit skinning knife). According to research John Clark took over the trade mark I cut my way and the William Rodgers name in 1911.  In 1980 the Egginton Group took over the  I cut my way mark.

William Rodgers is also the firm associated with manufacturing the Fairbairn-Sykes diamond section commando knife.

This set is a complete antique set of six table knives manufactured by William Rodgers under the I cut my way mark. Each blade is identical and manufactured from Firth Brearly stainless steel and all six handles are genuine bone handle.

STAMPS OR MARKS: The set is boxed in the original box. Each blade is stamped: I Cut My Way William Rodgers Sheffield England Firth Brearly Stainless.

CONDITION: The set is well used and the bone handles show signs of discolouration, however all items are still in good usable condition with no damages noted.

SIZE: Length of knives: 24 cm

WEIGHT: 400 g
