 Antique Silver 'Albertina' Watch Chain with Tassel 

This super quality, unusual, antique sterling silver 'Albertina' watch chain has been beautifully made, with a lovely five strand tassel, T-bar, swivel dog clip, as well as intricately engraved balls and an oval slider. The chain is in excellent condition and measures 33cm in length (tassel to catch). It is not hallmarked anywhere but has been tested as sterling silver.

Note: An 'Albertina' chain was the name given to a watchchain worn by a lady, they were much finer and more elaborate than the 'Albert' chains used for fobs and watches worn by men. They were named after Queen Victoria's husband 'Albert' and were popular in the Victorian era.
