Antique Silver 'Asprey's' Collapsible Travelling Beaker (Cased)
This fine quality, sterling silver, antique, travelling collapsible beaker was made in London in 1903 by 'Charles & George Asprey' (CA.GA), legendary silversmiths and retailers (Asprey's) who were known for their quality luxury pieces. The silver beaker is made up of three graduated sections and comes complete with its original velvet lined, leatherette case. This wonderful piece is in excellent condition with a nice weight, and still retains its lovely original gilt interior. It stands 9,5cm high when extended, with a top diameter of 8cm and weighs 195g, and other than the silver hallmarks, it's stamped 'ASPREY LONDON' on the base. The round leatherette case stands 5,3cm high, measures 8,9cm in diameter and is stamped on the base 'LEUCHARS LONDON' (manufactures of antique boxes), who were bought out by Asprey's in 1888.
