Antique Silver & Enamel 'Port Elizabeth' Souvenir Spoon (1913)
This good quality, antique, solid silver and enamelled South African souvenir spoon for the town of 'Port Elizabeth' features at the top, a colourful enamel picture of a pyramid-shaped memorial to Sir Donkins wife, Elizabeth, whom the town was named after and a lighthouse behind, that was built in 1861. The bowl of the spoon is also engraved with the towns name. The spoon was made in Birmingham, England in 1913 by silversmiths 'William Hair Haseler' (W.H.H), and is in excellent condition, measuring 11,6cm in length and weighing of 16,4g.
