MADE IN LONDON DURING THE 1890 s. THE HANDLE TURNS FREELY. THERE IS SOME RUST WHICH
CLEANS OFF EASILY. HEIGHT 33CM FROM THE TOP DOWN TO THE SCREW THAT FASTNED IT TO
THE TABLE.
AS SHOWN ON THE PHOTOS THERE IS A LITTLE OF THE WHITE COLOUR LEFT ON THE INSIDE OF
THE OPENING ON TOP AND SOME GOLD TRIMMING ON THE EDGES AND FRONT.
IT CAN BE DIFFERENTIATED FROM THE MORE COMMON AND MODERN SPONGE GRINDERS BY
THE "LONDON" WHICH IS CAST ON THE FRONT AND ALSO THE CURVED HANDLE.
