Antique Sterling Silver Snuff Box (1913)
This early, good quality, solid silver snuff box was made in 1913 in Birmingham, England and is stamped by the makers 'D.BROS', a mark which was used at the time, by two different Birmingham silversmiths, either the 'Davies Brothers' or the 'Dingley Brothers'. It's rectangular shaped with rounded corners and is decorated on both sides with a fine engine turned pattern along with a blank cartouche on the lid. The box is crafted from a heavy gauge of silver giving it a nice weight and other than a few, very minor soft dents, it's in great condition with a snug fitting, airtight lid that clicks shut. It measures 9cm x 6,5cm x 2cm and weighs 108g.
