Offered for sale is a rare Tibetan bronze oil pot probably dating from the mid -late 19th Century , a small item highly decorative and well made with engraved/etched and embossed details. The pot would have been used for replenishing oil lamps. The kettle has a finial shaped like a bird , probably a falcon or kestrel attaching to the handle with a chain. The body of the kettle has tear-shaped lozenges on the sides with calligraphy while the base is decorated with flowers .The handles and neck are decorated with geometric patterns. . Dimensions are : height 23cm ; width measured across middle 11cm.
