Unusual Antique Vesta Case
This very early, unusual, silver-plated vesta case from the late 1800's, opens very differently compared to the ones you normally come across, as it opens beside the striker with a nicely sprung hinge. It appears to be silver-plated on brass and was made in Birmingham, England by silversmiths 'Lines, Bunn & Mason' (L.B&M). It is stamped on the inside with the factory mark 'L.B&M' and the 'Rd No. 122107', dating this vesta case to around the 1890's. Other than minor wear in places, it's in great condition and measures 4,8cm x 3,8cm x 1,3cm.
