This is an incredible Bohemian garnet bracelet from the Late Victorian era. This gorgeous piece is made of gilded silver and is set with over 200 faceted garnets.

Bohemian garnet jewellery dates back to the 19th century (1937 - 1910), during which time garnets were one of the most popular types of stones used in jewellery production. The garnets were often placed close together in an effort to produce a more pronounced color and brightness than when they were set singularly. Bohemian garnet jewelry was set in a closed back setting made of rose gold gilt over silver; this method is also referred to as 'garnet gold'.

The garnets in this exquisite antique bracelet are Bohemian cushion set rose cut garnets (pyrope). The bracelet still has it's original safety chain, which needs to be reattached on one side. The hinge works beautifully and the bracelet closes with a snap.

There are a few creases in the metal and shallow dimples to the interior of the bracelet but they are minor and don’t effect the shape or integrity of the bracelet. Overall this is a stunning and sparkling, bohemian garnet bangle bracelet. From the Victorian era and in very good condition.
