Antique, Victorian, Art Nouveau Floral EPNS Belt c1900
This is an absolutely stunning antique silver plated belt with a floral scroll design typical of the Art Nouveau period. It has an ornate oval buckle that has an EPNS mark on the back. The belt consists of connected links, with the same design throughout. It is in an exceptional condition with no sign of wear to the plate anywhere. The craftsmanship is of a very high standard, and the belt very well cared for. There is no condition issues at all. No additional information could be found about the mark on the buckle. It would appear to be a generic silver plate mark used in either Birmingham or Sheffield in the UK.
The buckle measures approximately 5 cm X 6.5 cm. The entire belt (including the buckle measures about 70 cm from end-to-end. Each link measures about 1.5 cm X 3.7 cm.
