These handmade greetings cards were made by Victorian ladies mostly of means partially to keep them out of mischief....lol....they were sent to friends, lovers, birthday, Christmas and Easter wishes and became very popular, they were collected and pasted into scrap books, I rescued these from a dated 1830 destroyed scrap book  !!!!
