ANTIQUE WILKINSON BAYONET

Good condition with scabbard

The bayonet is in a fairly good condition with a very light layer of surface rust. Because of the image saturation the rust looks much worse than it actually is.

There is no major pitting or nicks in the blade and the release mechanism is in working condition.

The wooden handle is original and the original scabbard is included.

The scabbard is in good condition and the leather is still supple, no cracks.

Total length of the bayonet is 42.5cm and the blade measures 30.5cm.

Please see images below for all the markings. The one side has many over stamped numbers and it is hard to make out a date but it dates from at least WWII.
