Antique wood or coal iron used on a stove modified handle once off.

Yes during The early times here in South Africa, these old irons were used for many many years, you basically just left the iron on the hot plate of your wood or coal stove, then it would heat up and you could then use it to iron your clothes or uniform, but somebody somewhere came up with this bright idea and replaced the handle. I have seen many of these old irons but not one with a modified handle like this one has. Please view my other auctions as well.
