The frige was one of the first fridges that was imported to South Africa from London.
The fridge was used in the Glencoe (Kwa-Zulu Natal) Hotel, South Africa, where my grandfather bought it from.
The frige has a matching mirror with the same carved patterns as on the fridge.
The top of the fridge lifts up and water was poured into the sides of the fridge to keep the goods cool.
The bottom part of the fridge has two doors, that opens and where cheese, milk, ext was stored to keep it cool and prevent it from rotting in the hot South African temperatures.
The top part of the fridge has storing space as well.
Measurements: Fridge: 1.25m x 73cm x 56cm.
Mirror: 110cm x 75cm.
The fridge is second hand and in an excellent condition.
