Needs quite a bit of TLC. The hinges that hold the inside writing surfaces, are no longer there. Someone has glued cloth over the inside of the storage areas.

The timber appears to be one of the pine varieties.

The marquetry inserts are in a good condition and appears to be complete. The veneer on one edge of the lid, needs attention.

Please examine the pictures. The knob that was on the pencil holder section is missing. The name of a previous/original owner is on the inside of the pencil cover lid, and has a date of 1895 written on it.

I do not have the key, but the lock and the striker are there.
