ANTON RUPERT, the Life of a Business Icon

Softcover

First Edition First Impression

Anton Rupert (1916-2006) established the tobacco and industrial conglomerate Rembrandt Group, which owned brands like Cartier, Dunhill, Rothmans and Montblanc.

He was a founding member of the World Wildlife Fund. As president of the organisation's South African branch he was involved in the creation of trans-frontier parks.

"Dommisse dissects Rupert's capital-raising genius, his marketing prowess, and his ability to build global networks despite apartheid South Africa's increasing isolation. Hi also examines Rupert's early empowerment efforts. Anyone who wants to understand business success has to read this book." Phakamisa Ndzamela, author of Native Merchants, the building of the Black business class

"Part biography, part company history and part business primer ... A book that does justice to Anton Rupert's exceptional achievements" Richard Steyn, author of Jan Smuts, unafraid of greatness
