A scarce anthology of soldier verse published in Calcutta during the Second World War. This is not good poetry, the writer says in the Foreword, the poems have more punch than polish, but they show how nobly the game of death was played.

First published 1941 in Calcutta by Mackenzie Lyall. Condition: Fair for its age. Cover made from brown paper. Foxing on most pages and cover but all text legible and clear. Some water marks on back and front cover.
