The batteries are quite weak, they will need replacing.

You can easily replace them with CSB GP12170 12V 17Ah Sealed Lead Acid AGM Batteries, which are exact specification as the APC batteries for this model, and also cheaper. 

CSB manufacture quality batteries.

The original battery part number is: RBC7 (in case you want to use the original battery pack)
