I am busy with the computer-room cleanup and I must admit I am tempted to keep this iBook just still to have it. But it has been sitting on my desk (with accusing eyes) for too long now. My wife used it to do MS PowerPoint presentations on (training) but is now using a G4 iBook. I have a work laptop hence this G3 is up for adoption.
I myself love it since it just has a sense of class when you work on it, you never feel that it's going to die on you any moment. Sorry Microsoft. People just look at you differently when you start it up and after a few seconds they see the little glowing white apple on the cover.
The iBook is in good condition, it does have the usual scuff marks from being put in computer bags etc. but everything works well. The only thing I cannot vouch for is the modem, as we have been using Bluetooth for internet, using a bluetooth USB dongle.
The screen has no dead pixels, and is in excellent condition. It was replaced about a year ago, so should have quite a few years left in it.
Apart from this I can just add that this laptop is perfect for travelling. The battery still holds a charge very well and if you look at the dimensions you will notice it is actually a very small notebook.
Included is: Laptop, external power pack, cable to allow external monitor to be used. Loaded on the laptop is MS Office 2004, CorelDraw 11, Photoshop CS, Macromedia Studio (Flash, FireWorks, Dreamweaver), and some other apps and utilities. There are NO legal disks or copies of these programs included, as they are of questionable origin. OSX Tiger 10.4.9 with all the latest service packs is installed also, but also no legal OS copies included.
