Buying refurbished is the shrewd move here, especially when the device has already had a few of its wear parts freshened up for you. This one's a solid daily driver at a price that reflects one small trade-off, not a shortcut on quality.
The honest bit first. This unit does not have NFC, so features like tap-to-pay and NFC-based accessories won't work. It's also had its screen, battery, camera and proximity sensor replaced, all of which perform normally, so the price is set with that in mind rather than for a fully stock unit.
Screen: Fitted with a brand-new replacement screen that performs just like the original, with no visible scratches.
Casing: No visible nicks or scratches, but the SIM Tray is a different colour.
Battery: Fitted with a brand-new battery, health is at 100%.
Functions: The camera and proximity sensor have been replaced and both work normally. NFC does not work, so tap-to-pay and other NFC-dependent features are unavailable. All other functions have been tested and are working.
Overall: A good, fully usable device with normal cosmetic wear for its grade. Works well throughout, with the one exception being NFC.
Warranty: Covered for 12 full months against faults, not accidental damage. If it stops working as it should, we sort it out.
