The iPhone 7 Plus is the larger variant of the iPhone 7 line-up and features a 5.5 display. The iPhone 7 marked the end of the physical home button and the beginning of a haptic feedback button which replicated a clicking feeling via a vibration motor. This move allowed Apple to work on waterproofing the phone as well as making it more dust resistant. The iPhone 7 Plus also came with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 7-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone was splash, water and, dust resistant but not waterproof. Apple would not repair phones under warranty due to water damage.
In addition to the new features, the iPhone 7 Plus also lost its headphone jack but did include stereo speakers as well as a lightning port. The phone was available in 5 different colors, these being Silver, Gold, Rose Gold, Black and, Jet Black. Apple later introduced a Red Special Edition version of the iPhone 7 Plus, however, this was a limited run.
The iPhone 7 Plus came with a 2GB RAM and had versions that came with 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of flash storage.

The iPhone 7 Plus came with iOS 10.0 (14A346) for its operating system. It was powered by a 2.3 GHz 64-bit Apple A10 Fusion processor.
