The M4 model requires iPadOS 17.4 or later. Apple currently identifies the same MWR53Z/A keyboard as compatible with both generations.
This keyboard is not compatible with:
- 12.9-inch iPad Pro models
- 13-inch iPad Air models
- 11-inch iPad Pro models
- Standard iPad models
Similar screen sizes do not guarantee compatibility because the magnetic attachment, dimensions and Smart Connector positions differ.
