Anglo-Boer War, Anglo-Boereoorlog. 1899 first edition in blue cloth, 109 pages. A previous owner tried to make some restorations to the spine and binding, new endpapers. Also some tape repairs and water marks on bottom of a few pages. Bookplate of previous owner in front.

The author reproduces a series of despatches and documents from the Pretoria Convention of 1881 to Mr Chamberlain's despatch of October 10, 1899. Foregoing any impartiality he roundly condemns President Kruger laying the blame for the ensuing conflict entirely at his door and calls for 'the abolition of the oligarchy in Pretoria, and the effacement as self-governing States of the South African Republic and the Orange Free State, for which President Kruger and President Steyn, with their Ministers, and obsequious followers, will be entirely responsible, and for which history will adjudge them guilty'.
