Hardcover, first published by Jonathan Cape, 1938. The price-clipped paper jacket is otherwise whole, except for a small chip from the spine, and a larger piece missing from the front face. Both faces are rubbed and worn, but the colours are still quite bright. The reverse is more visibly rubbed and marked, with wear to all edges. The boards are clean and unmarked, but are also edgeworn in places, and the corners are bent inwards. The top collective edge of the pages are lightly dust soiled, but all pages are otherwise clean and undamaged. The bottom edges are rough cut.
