Key Installation Best Practices (For Your Installer)
A correct installation ensures maximum efficiency, longevity, and validates your product warranty. Please ensure your installer reviews these critical points:
1. Piping for Peak Performance
Pipe Size: Use suction and discharge pipes with a diameter equal to or greater than the pump's connections (e.g., 63mm suction/50mm outlet for 1.1kW & 1.5kW models).
Unions are Essential: Install suitable unions adjacent to the pump for easy future service and removal.
Watertight Seals: Use a proper pipe jointing compound on all connections to prevent air leaks, which drastically reduce performance.
Support & Positioning: Never support pipework on the pump, or vice versa. Position the pump on a flat, level surface safe from flooding.
2. Positioning & Ventilation: Protect Your Motor
Height & Distance: For optimal priming and performance, install the pump no more than 300mm above the pool water level and keep suction lines as short as possible.
Cooling Clearance: Crucial: Maintain a minimum 150mm clearance behind the motor's fan cowling. Obstructions cause overheating, leading to premature failure and voided warranty.
