How to Use Aquaforest Reef Salt
Follow these steps to prepare seawater for your marine aquarium.
- Prepare the water: Start with demineralized water at approximately 24°C (75°F).
- Add the salt: For a target salinity of 33 ppt (specific gravity 1.025), add approximately 390 g of salt per 10 litres of water.
- Mix thoroughly: Stir vigorously for approximately 15 minutes, until the salt has dissolved completely and the water becomes clear.
- Check salinity: Use a refractometer to verify the salinity before adding the prepared water to your aquarium.
- Use the prepared seawater: Once fully dissolved and the salinity has been verified, the water is ready for aquarium use.
