Offered for sale is a small , highly collectible creamer jug made by Arabia Finalnd and designed by Kati Tuominen Niittyla for the famous Storybirds range. This is a 5 Oz jug made from a high fired earthenware with a glossy black glaze. The imaginative, quirky and highly original designs have become very collectible and sought after. The storybird range of ceramics was designed in 1993 and put into production for the first time in 1995 in a limited edition. Museums of Applied Art and design around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London have acquired pieces from this range as an example of cutting edge fine Scandinavian design.
