Beige boards, green cloth to spine & hinges, spine faded to lighter green with unsightly light flecking to cloth on spine & hinges, outer ends of boards white leather marked, light foxing to boards with some light finger-marks. Some wear to spine-ends, wear to corners which are a little curled under. Foxing to flyleaf, page-edges are foxed which just shows to a few margins. Text is very clean & in nice condition foxing occurs intermittently throughout the book, attractive b/w plates. Pull-out b/w map to rear. Sound condition Shackleton's account of the Oxford University expedition to the Arctic in 1934-35, "a vivid description of a winter spent far inside the Arctic Circle." Cloth covers are grubby but a bright clean interior.
