HISTORY: With over 30 years of history, Ardmore Ceramics is undoubtedly South Africa's premier ceramic studio. Ardmore Ceramics' creations focus on telling the stories of Zulu people, their culture and their imaginations. Due to their authenticity, these creations are featured in galleries and auction houses all around the world. The founders of Ardmore are Fee Halstead and Bonnie Ntshalintshali (daughter of Fee's housekeeper), and went on to be jointly awarded the prestigious Standard Bank Young Artist Award (1990). Sadly, Bonnie has passed away, but Fee is continuing the work which has by now progressed into creating artistic, luxurious, functional items such as tableware, stationery and textiles. In 2003 Fee inaugurated the Bonnie Ntshalintshali Museum of Ardmore - the first museum dedicated to female artists in South Africa.
