These bullion wire badges were first commissioned in the early 1970’s and were specifically issued to the Recce’s. The badge was worn on the lower jacket sleeve.
These badges are now obsolete and are extremely scarce.
No single badge looks exactly the same as each badge is hand stitched and is therefore unique. These badge were not a cut out version from the Navy insignia rank badge that later replaced the bullion wire badge.
This badge is in very good condition.
