Army Meritorious Service Medal VF MSM (NOTE REPLACEMENT SUSPENDER)

Henry William Clark attested in 1877.

He served at home from 1877 - 1882, in St Helena from 1882 - 1887, again, at home between 1887 - 1892 and in South Africa from 1892 - 1896.

On 31 December 1896 he was discharged at age 37.

In 1940 he received what appears to be his only award, a Meritorious Service Medal.  Despite a diligent search, no proof could be found of any other award, although it is likely that he would have received a long service award.

He was then aged approximately 81 years.

Four years later, he died.
