Art Deco 1932 Solid Silver Coffee Bean Spoon Set by James Deakin and Sons, Sheffield.

A superb set of 6 demitasse coffee bean spoons in solid sterling silver.  Each spoon features a brightly coloured, stylized Bakelite "coffee bean" finial.  The back of each bowl is hallmarked for Sheffield, 1932 with maker's stamp for James Deakin and Sons.  The spoons come in the original fitted, faux fur-lined half-moon case.

Condition : Excellent.  It appears as if the set was placed in a drawer in 1932 and remained there for 91 years!  Crisp, clear hallmarks.

Case : 19 x 14 cm.
