ART DECO BRONZE PERSONALISED PAIR OF AUTOMOTIVE MATCH BOX COVERS
1908 - 1933
SPORRONG AND CO STOCKHOLM is one of the oldest companies in Sweden by appointment to the Royal family.
This rare piece wascommissioned by AH Osterman who had each one personalised by engraving the names of his guests on the friend. Therefore ach one is unique. He was one of the pioneers of Swedish car trade and started his car dealership in 1908, which in 1915 was converted into AB Hans Osterman.
From 1915-1916 Osterman had contact with General Motors and in 1918 and acquired the agency for Cadillac and Buick. Later, the company were the agents for the entire GM's program, including Pontiac and Chevrolet. Osterman was also the driving force behind the establishment in 1928 of GM's assembly plant in Hammarbyhamnen.
There is an embossed story - all about the automobile - on the front.
This is an approximate translation:

SPORRONG AND CO STOCKHOLM markings engraved on the back.
Measures: 12cm x 7,5cm x 4cm
Each one weighs 350gm.
CONDITION: Excellent. The bronze is in excellent condition with no dents or other damage.
This is a fabulous piece for the automotive collector.
