Silver Plated Art Deco Fruit/Bread Basket with Butterflies

This attractive, good quality, 1930's silver plated fruit or bread basket, with a swing handle, is a nice example from the Art Deco period. It is octagonal in shape and sits on a stepped pedestal foot with a lovely butterfly and floral cut out and engraved panel in each corner. It is stamped with the registration number 'RD825361' on the base, dating it to 1938. There is no wear to the silver plate and other than some fine scratches to the interior, it is in good condition. It measures 21cm x 21cm and stands 7.5cm high (19.5cm with the handle raised) and weighs 475g.
