Art Deco Solid Silver & Coral Powder Compact
This fine quality, beautifully decorated, art deco, solid silver powder compact from the 1920/30's is in great condition and exceptionally well-made. It's square in shape with a hinged sprung lid and is decorated with an engine-turned pattern all-round with added engraved flowers on both sides. The sprung lid is released with an attractive catch set with five small cabochon-cut, red coral beads, revealing a small, bevelled glass mirror. This collectable powder compact is crafted in a thick gauge of silver giving it a lovely weight and other than very minor signs of usage, it's in excellent condition. The compact measures 7,8cm x 7,8cm x 1cm, weighs 145g (129g without mirror) and is stamped '800' inside.
