Exquisite silver plated Posy Pin to hold a button hole or flower decoration on a wedding or other occasion

Originally carried to ward off plague, posies of sweet smelling flowers attached to clothing
found renewed popularity in the 19th century. This silver plated post pin, reproduced from and
Art Nouveau original, will hold your favourite blooms.

 

This gorgeous posy pin has not been used but stored for in the original box for 20 years
- as dated by the gift message from friend.
It is in a great vintage condition with few small signs of wear on the pin (see photographs).
It comes complete with the original Pat Times box as shown.

This is a super eye catching piece which looks fantastic on display.

About Past Times Silver

Past Times was a popular chain of shops which sold jewellery, board games, gifts and home furnishings
inspired by different periods of history. Founded in 1984, Past Times ceased trading on the UK high street
in January 2012 when its remaining 51 UK stores shut their doors.
The company’s online sales stopped the following year after it was bought by high street favourite WHSmith.
Past Times was founded by John Beale and sold a wide selection of silver gifts and jewellery. Ranging in style,
all of its pieces were inspired by particular historical styles or famous designers such as Art Nouveau,
Charles Rennie Mackintosh and many others.
