This is an original vintage England biscuit barrel / cookie jar from the 1920's. It is ceramic pottery with wonderful illustrations on all sides. It has it's original top lid and wicker top handle.

A Vintage Arthur Wood cream and gold gloss glaze Biscuit Barrel or Storage Canister with Lid and Cane Handle featuring beautiful lifelike images of Mary and the fat boy as well as Oliver asks for more. Gold has been used for the lid finial, rim, handle holders and base. Has a rattan handle with green running through.

The Arthur Wood Oliver Twist Biscuit Barrel will make a fabulous addition to a farmhouse kitchen or collection of vintage storage canisters.

The colour of the interior is a gloss glazed cream same as exterior. It does have some discoloration as per photos

Does have some gold wear and age grazing

A beautiful vintage design typical of the 1940s from this traditional Stoke-on-Trent based pottery.No 3752

The clear green back stamp features the trademark globe and says Quality, Arthur Wood, Made in England.
