(5 October 2010) Thanks to the seller who goes under the user name of co_bra, tenth of October 2010 will not be just another non-event date singularity.  At least not as far as www.bobshop.co.za is concerned. Something uncommon will happen on this local online marketplace come 10 October 2010.

At exactly 10 A.M on Sunday 10 October 2010, co_bra will open ten no-reserve auctions on bobshop.co.za. The 10 items on auction will have a starting bid of R10, with R10 bid increments. The auctions will last 10 days, closing at 10 P.M. of the tenth day. Shipping fees will be fixed at R10 per item.

The Bob Shop seller decided to build a series of online auctions around the number ten to celebrate the distinctiveness of the 10/10/10 date that occurs this Sunday.

"With an ever changing Bob Shop market, we sellers have to come up with ever changing ideas. I got the idea from the date 10/10/2010, the 10th day of the 10th month of 2010", says the seller, adding that the items chosen for the 10/10/10 auctions are at the high end of Antique and Collectables, "and not some cheapies".

Come Sunday, prospective buyers will be able to find the 10/10/10 auctions by entering this search phrase into Bob Shop search box: CRAZY CO_BRA 10 -10 -10. Even if they do not win any of the 10/10/10 auctions, they can boast that they participated in something unusual this 10 October 2010!
