1. Purify air and improve your health

Plants have a powerful magic that allows them to humidify the air, because they release large amounts of water. They also reduce dust and produce the air we need to breathe: oxygen. They convert carbon dioxide to oxygen and so clean the air. Clean oxygen in your home or workplace is extremely beneficial. But plants do not only improve your physical health. Looking at plants actually helps to enhance your mood and can make you feel more positive. Studies show that having plants in the workplace reduce headaches and flu-like symptoms of employees.

2. Make your house a home

Plants can turn a house where you sleep and eat into a home, a safe space where you are stress free and at ease. Plants are a great decor piece and add volume and greenery to the space. Tall leafy trees can add great dimension to a room. Air plants are also an attractive alternative and can be hung from the ceiling to create a talking piece. You can use succulents or cacti if you are not so great at keeping plants alive.

3. Help reduce stress

If you are feeling pressure in the office (or home-office),  indoor plants can help reduce your stress levels. Studies show that indoor plants within a work environment can reduce stress tremendously, as well as improve productivity (especially for computer-based tasks) and sharpen your focus.

4. Help your sleep better

Certain plants also have a soothing effect and can help you sleep better if you struggle. These plants include: aloe vera, jasmine and lavender. Keep in mind that one or a few of these  plants must be in your bedroom in order for you to benefit from their soothing effects. These plants are also believed to lower your blood pressure and reduce anxiety.

It seems like there is no reason not to have plants in your home, the benefits are endless!
