How to Make a Teddy Bear This festive season, why not make your own teddy bear and surprise your loved ones with a cuddly gift they'll cherish for a long time?! Here's how. Teddy bear making supplies Depending on the type of teddy bear you want to make, you will need the following supplies. Fabric: Suede, velour, chenille, fleece, and synthetics fabrics are great for making teddy bears. Fur: Synthetic/acrylic fur in tones such as golden honey, black, vanilla, bronze, white and pink make for gorgeous bears. Another popular option is mohair in multiple colours as well as solid shades of antelope, praline, and red. Stuffing: You can choose from fibrefill, synthetic feather and beads, depending on how firm or soft you want your bear to be. Eyes: Eyes should be about 8-14 mm; you can select from cute carnival eyes, fantasy eyes, googly eyes and minstrel eyes. Stick with black eyes for maximum appeal. | ![]() |
