Dozens of Ships and Planes Mysteriously Disappeared

Have you heard about the Bermuda triangle, also known as ‘the devil’s triangle’? This oceanic mystery is still ongoing...so if you haven't heard about it, hold onto your seat - you won’t beli

eve what you are about to read.

Let’s start off with the geographic location of this mystery triangle, where is the Bermuda triangle? It is situated in the North Atlantic ocean, the triangle stretches across three points in the ocean. From Florida to Bermuda and then to Puerto Rico. So what’s all the mystery about? Well, there have been dozens of disappearances within this region, the disappearance of both ships and planes, that is.

A number of reputable sources believe that there is absolutely no mystery at all and that due to the high amount of traffic within that area, for both planes and ships, it is no surprise that many incidents have taken place. Also, it should be noted that the weather in this region can sometimes be quite temperamental.

These mysterious reportings are believed to have started in the 1800s. The sinking of the navy ship USS Pickering is believed to have gotten lost in a wind storm at sea.

In 1918, a ship containing a crew of 309 crew members went missing, they were dubbed the USS Cyclops. This is recorded as one of the largest losses of life that were not related to combat in the U.S. Navy history.

Then there is the mystery of flight 19 which occurred in 1945, where a group consisting of five U.S. torpedo bombers, carrying 14 men went missing in the triangle as its compass apparently started malfunctioning. A rescue plane containing a 13 man crew was sent out to look for them and also vanished. An extensive search over several weeks was conducted with no luck.

Additional mysteries continued to occur. Despite sending messages that all was running smoothly, three passenger planes went down.

As the mysteries continued to occur, Charles Berlitz published a bestseller in 1974 about the Bermuda Triangle, which not only brought the subject to light but also fueled the mystery of the subject. Since the release of this bestseller, those with paranormal viewpoints have claimed that the Bermuda Triangle is influenced by sea monsters and aliens, some have even mentioned time warps as a possible cause. Those with a more scientific theory have indicated that the cause of these disappearances are due to methane gas eruptions and waterspouts from the ocean as well as electromagnetic interference. So as you can tell there are many opinions.

Sure it could be natural causes, but there are certain things that can make one believe in the mystery of it all.

Things such as this:

- victims have been reported as disoriented while flying over the area

- planes have never been found

- boats and planes have vanished in areas with good weather and they did not send distressed messages via radio

However, if we look at the scientific theory rather than the possible mystery theories and claims - hexagonal clouds could be the answer to our questions. Meteorologists claim that the area surrounding the Bermuda Triangle contain these unusual hexagonal clouds. These mysterious clouds create air bombs that move at 274 km per hour, creating air pockets which could be the cause of all the missing planes and ships.

The most probable cause is that there is no single theory that can solve the entire Bermuda Triangle mystery. A very simple way to put it, as explained by one skeptic: “ trying to find a common cause for every Bermuda Triangle disappearance is no more logical than trying to find a common cause of every automobile accident in Arizona.

In conclusion, this could be a mystery or it could be due to natural causes or maybe it is incidental. Who is to know and who will ever know, our world is one fascinating and mysterious place!
