Welcome to

              The Magic City

Glorious sunshine, pristine white beaches, and a whole lot of fun, that's Miami for you. There's no better place to let your hair down and open yourself to adventure and abandon. Here's a quick look at all things Miami.

Best Time to Visit Miami

January to April is peak season in Miami, so beaches will be crowded and hotel rooms will be expensive. May to September is off-season due to soaring temperatures. Expect hotel rooms to be cheaper and beaches to be almost empty. If your primary interest is to hang out at the beach and you don¿t mind the searing sun, you can consider visiting during this time.

Places to Stay in Miami

For the ultimate in luxury, we recommend Fontainebleau Resort, Renaissance Eden Roc, Four Seasons Hotel, and Ritz-Carlton. For standard accommodations, try Claridge Hotel, Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort, Penguin Hotel, and Four Points by Sheraton. Backpackers travelling on a restricted budget can stay at the Beach Place Hotel, Stardust Hotel, and Clay Hotel which are located near or along the beach. Cheaper accommodation is available a few blocks away from the beach.

Must-See Attractions in Miami

There are dozens of things to do in Miami during your trip. Here are some ideas:

Fun at the beach:
Surfing, swimming, sunbathing, shopping, drinking, dancing - nothing is off limits.

Explore architecture:
You'll be struck by the splendour of more than 700 magnificent art-deco buildings from the 1930s on South Beach.

Shop till you drop:
Head for the Lincoln Road Mall and Collins Avenue, considered Miami¿s answer to New York's Fifth Avenue. Adidas, H&M, Crocs, Victoria's Secret, Swatch, Tommy Hilfiger, Bebe, UGG, Lucky Brand, Apple, Anthropologie, J. Crew, MAC, Ralph Lauren and Guess are just some of the stores you can find in this mall, interspersed with alfresco bistros.

Get close to nature:
Book an Everglades safari and explore this unique combination of five habitats. Airboat rides through the Everglades are thrilling and informative and you'll be able to spot dozens of animals and rare plants.

Explore arts and history:
The Bass Museum of Art, Lowe Art Museum, Miami Science Museum, Holocaust Memorial, Buehler Planetarium and Observatory, and Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum and Village are well worth spending the day at.

Dance the night away:
There are hundreds of clubs and bars in Miami but we recommend LIV, Cameo, Mokai Miami, and Mynt. You may even spot a celeb or two!

Sample fresh seafood:
For the freshest, most delectable and sometimes the weirdest seafood, head to Joe's Stone Crab, Smith & Wollensky, Grillfish, or Cafe Nuvo Bistro.

No matter what your interests and hobbies, Miami will leave you enchanted and pining for more.

By the way, The Magic City, one of the nicknames for Miami, alludes to its rapid growth. The city is also known as The Fifth Borough (because of the number of New Yorkers), The Gateway to Latin America (because of the number of Latin Americans), The Rock Bottom (because of its Southern location), and The Million Dollar Sand Bar (for obvious reasons).
