Wicca

Contrary to popular belief, people who practise Wicca are not old witches with warts and neither are they satanic worshippers, a widely common misconception made. It is believed that Wicca is a "women thing" however many men practise Wicca too. It is a fair assumption to make, as a good portion of wiccans are female due to the focus on the feminine deity. 

Wicca is a pagan religion that welcomes everyone in all shapes, colours and sizes. The religion is all about practising good deeds towards the environment and all living things and uses inner power, witchcraft and devotion to ancient gods to accomplish it.

Wiccans believe in a God and a Goddess, as the ones who provide energy and growth to the world as well as certain deities from Hindu, Celtic, Norse, Greek and Egyptian.

Holidays consist of Sabbats, Solar holidays and Esbats, Lunar holidays.

There is eight in one year referred to as the wheel of the year.

Wiccans believe in magic. They gather in covens and traditions when they are not practising alone. A coven is made up of 13 witches and a tradition is a gathering of witches that share the same ideals. They value the 5 elements namely earth, fire, air, water and spirit represented in the pentagram and do not sacrifice anything.

A big part of being a Wiccan is knowing yourself and your own energy. Wiccans believe in a law called the ¿threefold law.¿ Whatever you do comes back to you threefold, and because of this law Wiccans try not to do anything that would have a negative impact on them. ¿There is a reaction to every action¿
