How to Create Curls
Using a Curling Iron

![]() | How to Curl Your Hair Dry your hair thoroughly if you choose to wash your hair before curling it. Then brush it well to remove tangles and apply some volumizing mousse or styling cream to give your hair more body. Finally, spritz your hair with heat protector serum to prevent damage. This is very important! Now, your hair is ready for some serious curls! Section your hair off into two big parts. Take the hair above your ears (at the crown) and secure it on top of your head with a clip. Then, divide the hair on the lower section of your head into smaller parts. Curling irons work best on a small amount of hair at a time, so sectioning is very important. Take one small section of your hair, and starting from the tip, roll the barrel carefully up and away from your face until you're about two inches from your roots. Hold for 10-12 seconds and release. Repeat for each section. Once you're done with the lower part of your head, do the same for the hair on the crown. When you have curled all your hair, use a good quality hairspray (lightly) to set the style. Be careful not to overdo the hairspray. You can leave your hair as it is but we recommend tousling it gently with your fingers or shaking out the curls for that ultra-chic windswept goddess look. |
There you have it! Perfect, curly-wavy hair. Look like a million bucks no matter what you wear or do this summer. |
