This rather mysterious fish pendant dates to the Victorian period. It tests as sterling silver and has red gemstone eyes. It is perhaps oriental in origin and has a compartment.
The fish pendant is 3 (7.5cms) long and 3/4 (1.8cms) across the widest part. It weighs 17 grams.
It is fully articulated with deeply engraved scales on each side, There are lines of silver balls along each side. Its two eyes are set with twinkling red gemstones. Its mouth carries a ring and a bail.
