Arts and Crafts 18ct Gold, Cameo and Pink Sapphire Brooch

The antique, Arts & Crafts era, 18ct gold diamond-shaped brooch is rub-over set with an oval, 19^th Century carved shell cameo depicting a seated female figure with a dog. It is also claw-set with four mixed-cut, round, pink sapphire (circa 5mm diameter circa 2.4ct total) in a square bezel at each corner, and with eight seed pearls (circa 1.5mm diameter). The brooch is marked "18ct" and has been confirmed as 18ct gold by electronic scan. The brooch has a gold safety chain and pin.
