This is a lovely original piece.   These small paintings  are called - "artist samples". When I work on a commission, and my client orders a painting, I will paint a sample. Sometimes it takes a few samples before the right colours and composition is decided on.  My clients  will hang the sample in their house , for a few days,[ in the place where the ordered, much lager, version will hang] .

All my paintings on BOB are artists samples,  but they are all for sale.They are minatures of the commissioned paintings. These are still originals and signed by myself.

This item was painted on stretched, boxed canvas. The sides are painted.  There in no need to frame this item. It is ready to hang. The painting has also been varnised, with a waterbased product, to give it a strong protective layer as well as a uniform sheen.
