The Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens needs no introduction. It is one of the best 50mm lenses ever produced and at an age of more than fifty years it still beats the tar out of any modern lens and outresolves most digital sensors.

The mount is the standard M42, but this auction includes an M42-to-EF adapter with programmable focus confirm chip. The lens can therefore be used as-bought on most Canon EOS DSLR cameras, except the 5D series.

(Canon EOS 1000D / Rebel XS not included.)

Note: This is a manual focus lens. The electronics on the adapter will only confirm focus, not actually focus the lens. The electronics also makes for accurate lightmeter function. Camera must be set to either M or Av mode.
